Nudibranch Blog #1
I just realized I've never really written much about these creatures that I love so much. So this blog is for them.
Nudibranchs come in all shapes and sizes but they are never any bigger than your finger. They come in so many colors and patterns too. When you dive, it's hard not to notice them even in their miniature state because of these colors. The sheer variety of this creature makes them very appealing to my "collector" mentality and I want to be able to see and photograph and identify all of them. Looking back on those dive trips, there are really some spots that will allow you to spot more nudi's than others. In Anilao, favorite nudi spots for me are Kirby's Rock, Koala and the stretch between Balai to Twin Rocks. Place outside Anilao that seemed to have nudi's that I haven't seen before is Sogod Bay in Leyte. Reviewing my photos made me realize how many new things I saw there. No wonder I was so happy after that trip despite missing the butanding! Here's the link to a slideshow of my nudi flickr photos:So far, these are my favorites from my collection on flickr:
